4th Annual Forrest Spence 5K

The 4th Annual Forrest Spence 5K on August 27, 2011 at Overton Park was a huge success.  It was a wonderful event for all ages.  There was a 5K, 1 mile fun run, 100 yard dash for younger kids, music, food, and tons of kid activities. There were 1064 participants and over $38,500 was raised for the Forrest Spence Fund.  Click here to see results, pictures, and read more about the event.

Our Story



The Forrest Spence Fund begins with the story of Brittany and David Spence’s first child, Robert Forrest Spence, born on September 10, 2007. Shortly after birth, Forrest developed complications and was transported to the PICU at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where he fought valiantly for life for 55 days before his illness overtook him.
