Family Dinners

FedEx Family House Dinners
On the second Thursday of the month, the Forrest Spence Fund serves the families staying at the FedEx Family House a meal. The families staying at the house have a child that is critically or chronically ill and being treated at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. These families live at least 30 miles from Le Bonheur so commuting back and forth to the hospital is not an option.

Next FedEx House Dinner is scheduled for December 8.

Le Bonheur Dinners
Four times a year the Forrest Spence Fund serves the families at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital a meal. Any family member of a patient can come enjoy a hot meal and be served by our wonderful volunteers.

Next two Le Bonheur Dinners are scheduled for November 22 and December 19.

If you are interested in being a volunteer at one of these dinners, please contact Donna at donna@forrestspencefund.com.

Forrest Spence 5K 2011 – August 27 at Overton Park

August 27th was a perfect day for the 4th Annual Forrest Spence 5K.  There were 1064 participants and more than $38,500 was raised.  Everything about the day was terrific.  The food, music, kid station area, 5K, 1 mile fun run, 100 yard dash, and community of people were the best.  The money raised will go towards the mission of the Forrest Spence Fund – meeting the non-medical needs of patients and families in the Mid-south.
